The guy who pierced you is a complete knob.
Alcohol is NEVER to be used in the cleaning of a piercing.

Since it has been two months, it should not be sore, at ALL.

But, you may be able to save it.
Start off by getting rid of the Alcohol.
It is no use to you now.

How to clean your piercing the RIGHT way is to:

First, wash your hands ( Make sure to scrub under them nails, girl!). Your never supposed to clean a piercing with dirty hands.

Second, get some Antibacterial liquid soap.
The bar kind works just as good, but its easier to work with in liquid form. If you are using a soap bar, make sure that you use it ONLY for your belly piercing. Don't just grab an old soap bar from out the tub.

Third, take a Q-tip or cotton swab and wipe of the excess crusties ( if there are any) very gently.

Fourth, Wet your belly a little but, and begin to lather the soap until your entire stomach is bubbly.

Fifth, Rinse with warm water, and pat dry with soft toilet paper, as towels can trap and spread bacteria, and paper towels are just too rough.

Repeat at least twice a day. No more than three times. You don't want to over-dry it !!

For an extra-boost, try mixing equal parts of natural sea-salt and warm water into a small shot glass, or cup, while sitting over your belly. ( You can find tutorials on Youtube.com on how to do this. Just search "Sea-salt treatments" )

If it doesnt get better within a month and a half, go to a PROFESSIONAL and/or WELL-KNOWN piercer to take care of it.

Take care xxx

  • Use piercing solution to clean it with. (buy it from Claires)
If it is infected (purple/red, perhaps yellow to greenish goowy stuff coming out) Use Neosporin!
If it hurts you try the "Neosporin+pain reliever".
Definitely try and clean it at least twice a day. Do not use Alcohol... Alcohol will try and Close a piercing!!
And also remember to take out your BB ring and wash it out (use antibacterial soap)

  • Don't get pierced anymore until you learn how to take care of piercings. Sea salt soaks twice a day, no alcohol, and don't go back to that piercer. If you don't see an improvement after starting the sea salt soaks, go to another piercer & get their opinion.

  • Well, first of all, your piercer is an idiot for telling you that.
You're not suppose to clean a piercings with alcohol, it dries it out and irritates it.
Do the same method but with sea salt and water.
  • If you're young enough to not know what "infected" is, and spell it "effected", you really shouldn't have any piercings. But then again, you could just be a dumb blonde chick going nowhere in life.
  • yeah youre not supposed to be cleaning it with alcohol.
youre supposed to use a piercing solution .
or you could use salt water like sea salt .
