Hi there, I am not a tattoo artist but there is actually a cream that you can buy now which numbs your skin. My tattoo studio sell it and its £5 tube. apparently it works a treat. have a look around and I am sure you will find somewhere that sells it.

- I'm not a tattoo artist, however I've read that most substances marketed for this purpose make the skin swell, and can result in a distorted tattoo. Also, if it didn't hurt at least a little bit, you'd probably have way more people rushing into the process and making stupid and careless decisions.
- Tattoo artists aren't certified to do a local anesthetic.
And it really just isn't necessary. - i thought the pain was half the fun :)
