Anyone no of a good *free* tattoo website?

Resolved Question

Anyone no of a good *free* tattoo website?

The ones I find just on google are limited and they all want you to buy their tattoo books. Does anyone know of a good site with pictures and designs to get some inspiration of a tattoo they want done? Cheers in advance

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Silly!
You do not need a design from a 'tattoo website' to get a tattoo.
You think of what appeals to you, and you find images that go with the subject. You take photos, pictures, drawings, jewelry, live items (flowers), statues, stuff from your grandparents, from scrapbooks, drawings, paintings,... anything and everything can be an inspiration for a great personal and unique tattoo image. You then find the best tattooist that you can, skilled and with experience, and you take your 'references' to him/her, and you have them draw up a custom design just for you, that no one else has.
Make it yours!
Here's a good article on how to get a great tattoo without regret:

  • If you go onto 'Deviant Art' website or just do a Google image search and enter tattoo designs it will show you plenty. But ideally you dont want to copy someone else, but it may give you some influence...

Resolved Question

I got a tattoo on friday just a small k on my wrist but i just today discovered im pregnant?

willl it affect the baby?

i dont want to know about how people think they are trashy an dont like them i like them an its my body to do with as i like bn

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

You going to be fine. What you need to do more than anything else is take care of your body. The tattoo, make sure it's always clean, and avoid an infection. The ink does not penetrate the skin deep enough to enter the blood stream, so the ink will not affect the baby. The reason artists don't tattoo pregnant women is because of infection and the very slight risk of disease. The chances of you contracting a disease due to a tattoo are slim to none. If you went to a shop an didn't get it done by a friend at their house, you're fine. Shops have very strict cleanliness guidelines, so your concern right now is keeping it lean and avoiding an infection. Infections can affect the baby, but, you should be safe since you got it Friday and have had no negative effects. Just keep it clean and take care of your body and you and your baby will be safe and sound. Congrats!!!!

  • This early in a pregnancy, it won't cause any problems. The only reason that they tell you not to get tattooed while pregnant is just to be safe that it doesn't make your immune system weaker while trying to heal the tattoo, but if it is small, and you are not far along there is nothing to worry about! Just be sure to take care of yourself :)

Tiffani, I'm not so sure I'd want any advice about my baby from someone who can't spell her own profession, or "congratulate".
  • Being a nurse that works with a yncologist I can say with complete confidence that the tattoo will hae no effect what so ever on your child. Furhtermore I'd like to congragulate you on ur pregnanncy.
  • Give the best answer to Rocketwife...she said all that needed to be said!!!
    congratulations!

    Source(s):

  • only if it gets infected and causes blood poisoning .so keep it clean and if it goes septic go to the doctors straight away a good antiseptic is tee tree oil
  • Congratulations, and no. But at least soon you will have something to compare the pain of tattooing to.
  • You should be ok but make sure to tell the tattooist that you are pregnant.

  • never bad mistake i got the date in roman numerals on my wrist of when my ex financee got to gether and we broke up 2 years later is now covered up with something now i have had a braclet done ever it. Never get something just for someone else. I fell to this and it was the biggest regret of my life. I am not saying you will not split up or that you will be together for ages but it will always be there as a reminder. Its your skin your body, not something to show dedication to someone else with. X
  • I wouldn't tattoo anyone's name anywhere on my body. That is setting yourself up to need laser removal. Well unless it's your child or someone who has passed away.
It doesn't matter how in love with phil you are, don't get his name tattooed on you.
  • Its up to you really, im getting my partners name done on my wrist but in a different language and if you break up as long as the name isn't big you can get it covered.
  • i did and my relationship broke down and now i regret it the only thing is my wife is understanding so no problem but it could have been like that say a tattoo is for life not just for christmas
  • No. Partners come and go but a tattoo is forever or very expensive to remove. It just makes you look ridiculous anyway. Find a better way to show your devotion.
  • NO NO NO ~ because in a month, the relationship will end & you will have a permanent reminder of that person.
  • no absolutly not, if u want something for ur partner have a symbol for ur partner something to represent them
  • hell no. not even if we had been married for 20 years.

what happens if you ever break up or get divorced?

    your childrens names... definatly.

    partners... NO
  • no but i would tattoo something that reminds me of them as a thing just between me and him.
  • i wud say no but i did just get a k on my wrist for me an my oh wer kerrie and keith so its for us both and if we ever break up well its for me

Black eye circles !! help!!!?

Resolved Question

Black eye circles !! help!!!?

hey ppz....i am only 18 and just realised that i am developin dark eye circles !!
ive read alot of articles saying u should apply cucumber juice on dark areas on ur face to make them lighter and put cucumber slices on the eyes for 10mins...now my question is..can i do both the same day,use cucumber juice n the slices aswell in the evening or something..and how many times a day should i repeat the process??? and when will i start to see any difference?? thanx

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Cucumber is harmless so you could use it as often as you wanted.
I'd use it in the morning, to reduce puffiness from sleeping, and then in the evening to relax them after a long day.
But if you can buy a cucmber juice/cream in a bottle, you could take it with you and apply it whenever your eyes feel irritated during the day!

Also, you can try nateral eyedrops? They re-fresh the eyes which might help you :)

nape piercing

good? bad?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

I've had my nape pierced for over 2 years with a surface bar...I love it and it's been just as easy to deal with as all of my other piercings.

If you're under 18, I wouldn't trust any piercer willing to do it on you. If you are over 18, make sure the piercer has successfully done nape piercings that have lasted. Don't just trust any piercing to do it.

Other Answers (8)

  • I don't personally find them aesthetically pleasing, but I don't have a problem with them. Beauty is subjective; I know for a fact some people find some of my mods to be ugly.

However what you need to know about nape piercings is that they are surface piercings, and are only to be considered temporary. Surface piercings pretty much always reject, and should be considered a zero possibility for healing. To prolong retention make sure your piercing is done with a surface barbell, rather than a straight barbell. Surface bars are shaped like staples:
    http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Image:…

If you want something that's more realistic for long term retention, that you have a chance at healing, look into microdermal anchors instead. However they are not to be taken lightly. They can be a pain to heal too, and can only be removed by your piercer. If you're going to get these you'd better make damn sure you want them! Lol:
    http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Microd…

Another tip, if you're under 18, you're probably going to have to wait. Pretty much all reputable piercer will not do surface piercing like these, or microdermals on minors. This is because of the extremely unstable nature of surface piercings and the semi-permanent nature of microdermals, it's widely considered to be unethical to do these on those who are not adults.

    Good luck.
  • go to someone you trust who has experience doing surface piercings. i've had one done by someone who didnt really know what they were doing and it didnt look good. on the flip side of that, ive had 2 done by my regular piercing guy and they were awesome. i think napes look sweet when they are done right. good luck!

If you have ever heard him talk about that tattoo you will know that it tells his life story. Polynesian tattoos are to represent where you are from and your family and trade etc. So its a bit stupid to copy something written for someone else's life. If you just want the same style then fine go for it but i wouldnt copy it exactly.

You have basically covered everything that I would do...
I haven't go perfect skin-mind you no one has, but I guarantee you that if you persivere everynight with your routine (which I will list below for you) then your face will be in much better shape.

My daily routine consists of the morning and night routine:
Morning:
1. Wet down my face and use a face wash or scrub to bet rid of dead skin adn bacteria that you might have
2. Wash off all soap and scrub making sure there is defiantley none near my eyes
3.Gently pat my face using a towel and being specifiacally careful near my eyes
4.I use my moisturiser (when buying a moisturiser make sure it's suitable for your skin, it's good to try different ones out-if you use a moisturiser and it feels tight and dry then that is not the one for you!)
5. Use my eye cream *(Optional- I use nivea )
6.Use my spot stick (To try and get rid of any blemishes)
7. Check for any dry skin

Voila thats the first lot!

Night routine :

1,2,3, 4 do exaclty the same, you do not have to use your eye cream for night time -there's not much point.!
But do 6 and 7 the same.

I hope this is helpful...any other queries, I'm happy to help!

Oh and quick note I don't really use a toner but if you have one... brilliant! It's amazing with what it can get off of your face. If you will use it then i would do it after you wash your face but before you apply moisturiser-personally. Thanks for reading . :P

  • BodyShop Seaweed Cleanser, Toner, Mattifying Moisturiser with SPF.

Night Moisturiser - Vitamin K cream from Holland and Barratt, combats blemishes, scars/marks and dark circles.

Quinoderm from over the counter to put on the odd spot, or u cd use toothpaste, Boots also do Tea Tree sticks, they work as a natural antiseptic for spots.

St Ives do great exfoliators to be used once a week.

    Good Luck
  • Ideas...
Cleanser - Cetaphil Cleanser! Its amazing and Dermatologists number 1 reccomended! It cleared my skin!
Toner - I dont find toners to be very varied..its not a neccessity..i use them sometimes to remove heavy makeup
Day Moisturiser- Olay Complete with SPF 15+
Night Moisturiser - Only use a night one if you dont have oily skin! If u have oily skin it will make ur skin greasy to use a heavy duty moisturiser if u havent got dry skin.
Eyecream - Ive never used an eyecream..i dnt get bad circles
Spot Stick- The Body Shop make a good Tea Tree one - it covers redness and tea tree fights pimples.

For a scrub - Micro Refiner by the Body Shop (orange tube) its more expensive than most skin care products but i find them to be really really good! But you should only exfoliate once a week.
    ==============

    I personally usually just
Cleanse with Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (twice daily)
Moisturise with Olay Complete (twice daily)
Exfoliate Once weekly/or use a mask once weekly

  • You're a little young. Are you turning 13 or are you 13 now and this birthday will make you 14? It does matter. Many reputable piercers will not pierce a 13 year old. In fact, in some states you legally must be 16 for body piercing. Check your local laws.

If you can have it done, you need to be pierced with a sterile piercing needle, by a trained professional. You can not be pierced with a gun. You may wear whatever makeup you want. It'll be wiped off before anyway; your piercer will swab the area.

After the piercing you'll need to keep make up out of it.
  • Some companies will not let you get your nose peiced until you are 14/16 and there is good reason for it. It can often get infected and be painful. if you do get it done make sure you go to aa decent place to get it done , where they use sterilised needles. Cheaper places may use dirty needles and you are much more likely to get it infected.
  • i got mine pierced when i was 13! yes you can wear any make up you want. just make sure you clean it properly or it will get infected, the person piercing it should discuss this with you if they dont then just ask. the pain is not bad at all. it just feels like a pinch and your eyes water a little bit but that is it.
  • what a good mum. letting a 13 year old get their nose pierced -.-

don't get it done love, it looks horrible.

also don't even worry about what makeup you can wear! the only makeup i was wearing at your age was mascara. and that was only sometimes lol.

How do you take the back of the earrings if they're stuck?

Resolved Question

How do you take the back of the earrings if they're stuck?

I pierced my ears at Claire's and I was given two backs to the earrings; the one I was pierced with (the bigger backs) and the small 9ct Gold ones. Because it's a cartilage piercing I was told to change the backs after 8 weeks.

I have tried to take them out for the past 3 weeks and I just can't. They're stuck. They're not stuck to my ears but just the post. The more I try, the more it hurts my ear. I went to Claire's and they said they're not allowed to take them out.

I don't know what else to do and I'm hoping you can help me.
Thanks.

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

Don't use vaseline on it like someone suggested...vaseline is really bad for piercings.

You shouldn't really be messing with the ear rings at 8 weeks...cartilage piercings can take up to 6 months to completely heal, even longer if they were done improperly like yours was.

But if it's stuck, go to a real piercer and they will help you out. And by real piercer I mean one working at a piercing shop or a tattoo shop who uses sterilized hallow needles to pierce...not some girl in Claire's/Wal-Mart/Piercing Pagoda in the mall with a piercing gun...

I don't know how true it is....but from my experience....skin with more melanin is more susceptible to being dry ( even more in cold weather)...especially since you to can see it more on darker people "ashy". I use vaseline, shea butter and cocoa butter and my Caucasian friends still doesn't understand......That's the way I was raised though. My mom is very light and I can't see her dry skin as much...maybe it just requires more oil content and Cocoa butter can have that.....(not the cocoa butter lotion but the original stuff)...I don't know......just my experience!

Does not eating enough of the right foods lead to undereye circles?

Resolved Question

Does not eating enough of the right foods lead to undereye circles?

I am only 21 and have bad undereye circles. I am getting enough sleep now but for about 2 years I wasn't (I was working shift work and my boyfriend snores throughout the night) but now I'm not working and sleeping lots and my boyfriend sleeps in a separate room and they are still very bad. In the summertime I wasn't really eating enough so I'm not sure if it's related to that too. Right now I don't eat or drink any dairy (it gives me pimples! and I have severe acne) could that be a problem for circles? I don't take calcium pills but I drink orange juice with added calcium. I am going to ask my dr about calcium pills next time I go. I get lots of meat and fruit and some veggies. A lot of hair comes out when I brush it too (have had this happen for as long as I can remember but now it's worse). Soo ya hair and undereye issues :( I actually think the hair loss might be normal shedding I have pretty long hair but I'm not sure. And once you get dark circles will they ever improve or are you stuck with them? If they will go away how long does it take and what can I do to help it? I'm sad because 2 years ago I had no darkness under my eyes and I'm only 21 :(

Does alcohol contribute to dark circles as well? I do drink quite a bit (not as much lately but still)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Generally, dark circles are genetic. You can never do anything about them.
Drink more water every day. It should be at least 2 - 2.5.
And, do eye exercises.
While sleeping, use a pillow and keep your head at higher elevation than rest of your body. This reduces the blood flow to the eyes and the dark circles may lighten.
Place chilled tea bags or cotton balls on the eyes every day for 15-20 minutes in morning and evening. Also, put thin slices of apple under the eyes. They work just as cucumber.
And, regarding hair fall, I think it is due to lack of proper nutrition so please eat and drink properly.
Eat more of vegetables and fruits.
Avoid caffeine or carbonated drinks.
Drink more of herbal teas.
Hopefully, you should find some improvement.

I had my scaffold/industrial done almost two years ago and one of the holes has a little lump by it (not sure if it's a keloid) and have been told many reasons why it has happened like that my ears aren't right for the piercing, i haven't looked after it, it has been pierced wrong among others.

And now I have got a little problem with my rook piercing as I am developing a little small lump (like a mini ulcer/spot) around the piercing. I clean my piercings two a day with sea salt water and always wash my hands before I touch my piercings.

Could it be that I should stop cleaning the piercing and leave it be (so to speak) so that it can heal itself? or should i keep cleaning it? I just dont want to aggrivate it and make the piercing worse.

Any help would be really appreciated (preferably people who have had lumps or problems with cartilage piercings) Thank you

No you do not want to stop cleaning the piercing. Your sea salt soaks aren't what's causing the bumps. Your cartilage is. They are hypertrophic scarring and extremely common with cartilage piercings. It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, although improper care can provoke one; they just happen sometimes, cartilage is hard to heal.

For the two year old industrial, if the bump's been there for about that long, chances are it's not going away on it's own. You can have it surgically removed if it bothers you a lot.

For your rook, keep doing the sea salt soaks, and use more warm compresses. You may also want to try some emu oil to massage on the bump (keep it out of the piercing itself). There's a good chance the bump will go away eventually. However if not, again, they can be surgically removed.

  • I had the same thing with my helix a couple of months ago.
I just left it be, and after about a week; it went away :)

    Bye :] x
  • cartilage delenda est !
  • Heey i have a bunch of piercings adn many on my ears including the indurtial, the helix and the tragus and rook. Mine never really got bumps on em, and i have veyr sensitive ears. So maybe your ears are allergic to the type of metal used, so you can go to your piercer and ask him to swithc the jewleery, maybe to a ball closure ring which is what i have on all of them except obviously the industrial. Definitly keep cleanign it, and if it doesnt get better i would got see your piercer because after all thye would definitly know what to do.

Need some ideas for a tattoo?

Resolved Question

Need some ideas for a tattoo?

Hi I'm 22 and thinking of getting a tattoo either just above my ankle or on my back/shoulder. I want something quite small, I was thinking maybe a sea shell or some of my favourite beatles lyrics. Or a small lion head.

Does anyone have any original ideas? I like to think I'm quite quirky, I don't want something that lots of people have like a star or a chinese symbol. I really like music and literature. I also like nature.

Any other kind of discreet places I could get it? Suggestions welcome! Thanks!

PS how much does it hurt? like really really badly?

I am also really into music and literature.... and The Beatles! I would get a tattoo of some lyrics. If you did, maybe have them go along the curve of your shoulder. For me, I would probably go with lyrics from Blackbird. Just choose your favorite song and find some meaningful lyrics.

  • heya, well first of all you could do what you say like get a seashell that would be really cute and nice or get the lion head or get the beatles lyrics across you shoulder, pick it yourself so it means something to you either from your favourite song by them or just a nice meaning in the song.

You could get a music note or a big music note and two other small ones around it. since you like nature maybe a nice flower or a leaf and even if you want get a leaf and put music notes around it.or if there were any of the beatles sond lyrics to do with nature you could incorperate the picture in to the lyrics.a bird like a dove or something. is there any type of bird that has a personal meaning to you? a paw print maybe?
  • how about your star sign symbol? or maybe a small butterfly. i think both them ideas are really nice.
or even a small cherry blossom, and if your getting a writing tattoo shakesphere quotes are very cool and orginal.

ankle is a good place. if you are gettin a writting tattoo how about up your side like from your waist up to your ribcage? even you could get it below your belly button but over to the side? like at the side of your pelvic bone.

a few of my friends get it and they said the pain was really sore like a hot needle sticking in and out of you. its not going to be unsore so it will definatly be painful but worth it.

  • Do u have like a best friend or loyal boyfriend or sibling or husband? you could have their bday tatooed on. i would suggest these lyrics that i love (listen to song if you are not familiar):
"marry me juliet, you'll never have to be alone"-love story, taylor swift
"The stars lean down to kiss,i lie awake and miss you"-vanilla twilight, owl city
"because the spaces between my fingers are right where yours fit perfectly.."-vanilla twilight, owl city
"Without a warning,i realize your laugh is the best sound i have ever heard"-jump then fall, taylor swift
"I love each freckle on your face"-jump then fal, taylor swift
"i think i love you more then life itself"-doesnt everyone want to fall in love, kristinia debarge

  • Look on http://www.bmezine.com/tattoo/bme-tatt.h… for ideas.
Most of the suggestions made so far are popular subjects which means a lot of people will have them.
Probably the easiest way to describe having a tattoo is that it feels like a hard, irritating, prolonged scratch. And after it's like sunburn for a couple of days.
  • If your not sure give youself time to think of somthing that reflects your personality. Don't get anything u will regret. I'm looking for a tat myself and soo eager to one asap!! Still holding off till I'm sure I'm getting the right 1. Just read kat von d high voltage. Her quote was ask anyone with a body suit n they will tell u the *** is the sorest tat! Full of nerves!!
